The green swan
Central banking and financial stability in the age of climate change

Aus dem Vorwort:
The increase in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events could trigger non-linear and irreversible financial losses. In turn, the immediate and system-wide transition required to fight climate change could have far- reaching effects potentially affecting every single agent in the economy and every single asset price. Climate-related risks could therefore threaten central banks' mandates of price and financial stability, but also our socio-economic systems at large.

Early Last Interglacial ocean warming drove substantial ice mass loss from Antarctica

Artikel:

".. The extreme ice loss caused a multi-metre rise in global mean sea levels – and it took less than 2˚C of ocean warming for it to occur. .."

In April 2017, Project Drawdown released its inaugural body of work on climate solutions with the publication of the best-selling book Drawdown and a suite of open-source resources on Drawdown.org.

That material has influenced university curricula, city climate plans, commitments by businesses, community action, philanthropic strategy, and more. This Review represents the organization’s second seminal publication and the first major update to our assessment of solutions to move the world toward “Drawdown”—the future point in time when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline.
